Boys Junior Varsity Wrestling, Boys Varsity Wrestling · Wrestling Update: 2/29

Week in Review:

Another district tournament has been wrestled and this year, like many in the past, put us all on a roller coaster of emotions. The highs and lows that are felt can not be matched in any other sport in the world. The bad news is that 6 district qualifiers ended their season one tournament shy of the State Tournament. The good news is, 2 of our wrestlers, Spencer Dusi and Nik Urban will be making return trips to Columbus! Nik Urban became the first wrestler in Willoughby South history to win 3 district tournament titles. Spencer Dusi finished 3rd in the district for the second year in a row to become a two time state qualifier.
On a side note, THANK YOU to all those that came out to support the wrestlers this weekend at Mentor. Once again the Willoughby South wrestling group of fans were second to none. We had one of the biggest and loudest sections of fans all weekend. All of you are important to the wrestlers and coaches. Thank you for being there for our wrestlers and their families!
