Even though South Rebels JV collected nine hits to Riverside’s three, they still fell 8-4 on Friday
Riverside got things moving in the first inning, when.
In the bottom of the second inning, South Rebels JV tied things up at one when Alissa Anderson grounded out, scoring one run.
Riverside pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third G Tizzano drew a walk, scoring one run and L Williams grounded out, scoring two runs.
Riverside scored four runs in the fourth inning. M McCaleb, H Ratcliffe, O Kalb, and R Baca each had RBIs in the big inning.
E Maron led things off on the rubber for Riverside. The bulldog surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out five.
Bailie Unger led things off in the pitcher’s circle for South Rebels JV. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and eight runs while striking out three.
South Rebels JV collected nine hits on the day. Allyson Leskiewicz, Tallula Burns, and Alexa Cesar each had multiple hits for South Rebels JV. Cesar, Burns, and Leskiewicz each managed two hits to lead South Rebels JV.
Riverside tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. M Boswell led the way with three.
