South’s victory over Brush raised their record to 10-5 (5-3 in the conference). With three matches left, the boys tennis team will end the season in the winners’ column.
First singles featured Ian Grzincic raising his personal record to 11-4 while second singles had Jacob Miozzi raise his record to 15-0. But it was third singles where the team celebrated as senior Ethan Border won his first varsity match subbing in for Elliott Yoon.
Blaise Lombardo and Francis Tran made continued their winning ways at first doubles while Zach Barrus and Conner Tobey overcame a loss in the first set to win in three sets. Zach Barrus is nearing his 300th game played on the season (he has 296), by far the most on the team.
